Abstract

Carbonate chemistry data from experiments conducted as part of a study of the effects of irradiance on the response of the coral Acropora pulchra and the calcifying alga Hydrolithon reinboldii to temperature elevation and ocean acidification published in Comeau et al. (2014).

pH was measured twice daily using a portable pH meter (Orion 3-stars) with a DG 115-SC pH probe (Mettler). AT titrations were performed on the day of seawater collection using open cell potentiometric titration with an automatic titrator (T50, Mettler-Toledo), and AT calculated after Dickson et al. (2007). Parameters of the carbonate system were calculated from salinity, temperature, AT, and pHT using the R package seacarb (Lavigne and Gattuso, 2012).

For more details see Comeau et al.(2014).
