Project: NSFOCE-BSF: The effects of fine-scale temperature and desiccation variability on the distribution of marine species (Intertidal ecological forecasting)

Two 25min transects were permanently installed at each rocky shores at high and mid intertidal zones. Using a random number generation, bounded by 0-2500, quadrat locations were determined along each transects to be surveyed. 50X50cm quadrat were used for this survey with 25 grids inside the quadrat to help determine percent cover. Sessile species were identified and quantified by percent cover, while mobile species were counted.
