The North Pacific Research Board (NPRB) Long-Term Monitoring (LTM) Program was established in 2012 and the program began funding projects in 2014. Projects are funded by consortia and must include at least three funding partners, including NPRB. The intent of this Program is to strategically fund consistent collection of relevant time series data over an initial period of 20 years, with the requirement that projects be evaluated in five-year intervals. Three projects were funded in 2014 and renewed for another five years of funding in 2018. Those projects include the Seward Line, Continuous Plankton Recorder, and Chukchi Ecosystem Observatory.
